          6. In 1965 as a student at West Babylon, he was awarded an exchange student grant and graduated in 1966. Vince DiMartino is one of the most sought after virtuoso trumpet performers and educators in the world.

          Since graduating from The Eastman School of Music in 1972, Professor DiMartino taught at the University of Kentucky until 1993 then began a new appointment as Distinguished Artist in Residence at Centre College in Danville, Kentucky.

          He retired in 2012 from his position as a W. George Matton Professor of Music at Centre College where he taught trumpet, brass, jazz ensembles, and jazz history.

          He has served twice as President and Vice President of The International Trumpet Guild as well as a member of its Board of Directors for two terms.
