Janieta Eyre is British-born photographer who lives in Kingston, Canada.[1]

Her work has been shown across Canada and the United States, and has been featured in exhibitions in Italy, Spain, Iceland, Colombia, England, France, South Korea and Germany.[2][3]

She is most known for her works in self-portraiture, in which she presents herself as a set of twins, that engage with the possibilities of multiple identities in the construction of self.

Eyre uses elaborate props and costumes to disrupt the fixity of her images.[1]

In 1997 Eyre was awarded the Duke and Duchess of York Award for Photography,[3] and in 2004 she was part of the Kodak Lecture Series, at Ryerson University in Toronto.&#
