          NG ENG TENG

          Born 12 July 1934,Singapore

          1955:-
          Enrolled in art classes conducted by the British Council, studying painting and sculpture.

          Sculptor and potter NG Eng Teng died in his sleep on Sunday 4 Nov at his studio in Joo Chiat Place.

          1956:-
          Enrolled in Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts; discontinued studies after a few months due to illness; submitted to the care of Dr Ng Yew Seng, an uncle, in Kuala Trengganu (State of Trengganu, Malaysia) for two years.

          1957:-
          Began to exhibit works in group shows, displaying paintings and sculptures.

          1958:-
          Returned to Singapore; employed as trainee-artist by Shaw Brothers, Fortune Advertising; studied privately with Liu Ka
